Handcrafted artprints
Every single Lino print is printed by Monika Petersen in open or limited editions. Most are printed with metallic oil-based printing inks, like the favourite Gold. The paper is from Italy and the inks works especially well on the deep, lush colours like: sage, indigo blue and deep black.
A natural process
After printing, the Lino plates are cleaned carefully with vegetable oil – this helps the lino plates from breaking early on and it secures the studio from toxic fumes. The finished Lino prints are then put in a printing rack to dry for a few days. Finally the prints are signed & numbered – wrapped in tissue paper and packed in black poster tubes.
