The “New abstracts” are made from Linoleum offcuts from previous work. Every print has their own composition with multi layered inks, creating an almost “collaged stone look”.
The process makes the work truly unique and contantly changing, making every print different for the next as the painted shapes are going through the hand-held printing press.
The final result is a combination of a painting: ( with multi layered inks ) a collage: ( the shapes are drawn up with a soft pencil to create a shadow ) and a print: ( using the printing press )
Every print is signed and printed on various fabriano paper in the artists studio in Copenhagen.
Packed and sent in a sturdy mailing tube.
Frame not included. ( Frames can be purchased from the shop but not send )
All Lino prints are printed by hand and because of this every print will differ slightly in color density.
Note: the prints with gold will shine strongest when light is pointed on the print!

Made responsibly
Monika Petersen’s artworks are created with a focus on sustainability. She creates all the Lino Prints by hand, and without using dangerous chemicals. The Lino blocks are cleaned in vegetable oil instead of toxic cleaners after printing. The oil makes the Lino more durable, and thereby ensures the optimal utilization of the materials.
